Who We Are
Ruben Centre is a faith-based organization striving for an empowered and just Mukuru community by providing quality education, health, financial and social services to children and families in Mukuru community. The Ruben Centre is a non-profit, charity organization run by the Christian Brothers African Province. It is one of eight Christian Brother’s project sites across Africa, and offers educational, health and community development programmes to the residents of one of the largest slums in Nairobi (known as both the Ruben Slum as well as Mukuru community).

Segal Family Foundation Annual Meeting- Spot Frank
Last week 4th -6th October the fancy Radisson Blu Hotel in Upper Hill Nairobi was a buzz with family, donors and doers gathering for the annual Segal Family Foundation USA annual meeting.Ruben Centre is one of their partners and receives multi annual funding for some project work and so it was as a partner that I went along to join the nearly 350 participants from many parts of the world. Most Donors were from USA, with a few from Australia, while nearly all the doers were from different East Africa countries.
