RUBEN FM TOURNAMENT REPORT
Ruben FM tournament is an initiative of Ruben FM, a community radio station operating from Ruben Centre in Mukuru Kwa Ruben Slum, Nairobi County. The just completed tournament was the second edition after a successful first edition in 2018. This initiative came as a result of Mukuru teams’ request to Ruben FM to organize a local football tournament in 2018. The radio team led by the Sports department saw the essence of organizing such a crucial initiative for our teams with the community’s willingness to cheer up their teams being an added motivation.

Digital Learning Empowerment
On March 4th 2013, majority of Kenyans voted in Uhuru Kenyatta and his running mate William Ruto as president & deputy respectively. Part of their top 6 manifesto agendas was “creating meaningful jobs on a large scale and across the country is imperative.” This agenda was to be implemented through several ways of which one of them is better education system. Therefore the president and his deputy promised to issue laptops in all public schools, as part of Kenya’s curriculum.

Waves Re-Union 2019
Saturday the 26th, October was one to remember for all beneficiaries of the Waves Foundation. A re-union luncheon that was held at the Fairview Hotel at Upperhill area in Nairobi hosted a number of former and current students from Mukuru Bakhita, Mukuru kwa Ruben & Starehe.
