On 19th November 2020 an art competition was hosted at the Ruben Centre's hall. The competition involved grade 4 and grade 8 participants. The categories included painting, handcrafts and pencil drawing.

Ruben Primary School is one of the few public institutions that can boast of having and equipped library. Though started early in the century, it became fully functional during Br. Frank’s as he is a sucker for reading. He saw to it that library sessions were created and effected.

After a period of 10 years, Ruben Centre is graced with a new Director. The neck to neck race started in 2019 after the incumbent Director, Br. Frank O’Shea, made the announcement that he will be retiring at the end of 2020.

On 3rd October 2020, Ruben Centre staff concluded a two-day training program on the Behaviour Change Model. The training was facilitated by Emma Ngunjiri, a psychologist, at the Edmund Rice room. The staff imparted were from the health, education, advocacy & networking factions.
