Young Farmers Club was the brainchild of 5 teachers of Ruben Primary School way back in 2010. Teacher Grace was one of the pioneers and she is still keen on the impact of the club.

On the 7th of January 2022, Ruben Centre held an introductory meeting among its staff members. The meeting chaired by the Director had a myriad of issues raised by staff members, issues they (the staff) believe should be addressed moving forward for effective service delivery.

The Ruben Centre in Nairobi has always focused on empowering the people of Mukuru. Part of this effort has been in training people in the production of highly marketable artefacts. Every year, the Ruben Centre has participated in the annual Nairobi Trade Fair where these products are showcased except for 2020.
